Winfred “Wink” Jones, age 87, of Valdosta, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. Born in Ringgold, GA, on June 15th, 1939, to the late J. R. Jones and Clemmie Jones.

Wink, as he was lovingly known by friends and family, loved his family more than anything, and was always willing to stop and help someone in need. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with them, as he watched them grow.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sally Williams Jones, and his son Brad Jones, along with his two brothers, James Jones, Jesse Jones, and his sister, Sarah Ruth Ellis.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Zirbes (James), his son Tracy Jones, his grandchildren, Sally Wheat (Jake), Caroline Garner (Jason), Olivia Zirbes, Cody Jones (Sami), Autumn Bates (Jeremy), Seth Jones (April), Emily Blevins (Kevin), Sarah Cucksee (Jesse), Abbey Jones, his Brother Ben Jones (Glenda) and sister, Ona Mae Hamilton (Robert), his 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
