Wilma Yeomans Morrison

Wilma Yeomans Morrison, 77, of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014, at South Georgia Medical Center.

She was born January 7, 1937 in Valdosta. She was a wonderful mother; she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved her church. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Sonja Morrison of Angier, NC, and Todd and Brenda Morrison of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Brooks and husband Brett Sears of Fuquay, NC, Rebeca and husband Stetson Croft of Angier, NC, Kristin Morrison of Atlanta, and Shaun Morrison of Valdosta; four great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Gene Mize, and Abby and Jack Higgins, all of Chattanooga, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Ann Yeomans, and Billy and June Yeomans, all of Valdosta; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Yeomans; her husband, Roy F. Morrison; and a sister, Beverly Carter.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Morrison will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Pastor C. Ellsworth Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
