It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Moss Gernale, who passed away on May 19, 2025 at her residence at the age of 61. Wendy was born in Roswell, New Mexico to the late Edward and Dianne Moss but spent most of her life in Valdosta.

Wendy was married to Robert Gernale and together they raised a beautiful family. She is survived by her children: Jessica and Kyle Crew of Valdosta; James Carter of Valdosta; Tiffeny and Brian McStay of Goldsboro North Carolina; Dusty Gernale of Goldsboro North Carolina and Desiree and Nathan Gerade of Graham North Carolina. Wendy's Legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Brianna Fosdick of Valdosta; Austin Fosdick of Valdosta; Madison Mcstay of Goldsboro North Carolina; Sydney McStay of Goldsboro North Carolina; Charlotte McStay of Goldsboro North Carolina; Cole Gernale of Goldsboro North Carolina; Emma Gerade of Graham North Carolina; Tristen Crew of Valdosta and Kaisley Crew of Cairo.

Wendy was known for her warm heart, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make everyone feel special. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana whose life was centered around her loved ones. She had a gift for creating memories, and those who knew her will always carry a piece of her with them.

Wendy was the rock for many and a guiding light in both the good times and the hard ones.

In addition to her immediate family, Wendy was blessed to have several special people in her life including Marshall Fosdick, Tammy Highsmith, Jeannine Daniell and Donna Baker.

A celebration of Wendy's life will be held at her daughter's home on June 28, 2025 at 11 AM . All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend. Wendy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her love, laughter, and strength will never be forgotten.
