WALTER MINDZIAK, 60, of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1948 in Trier, Germany, a son of the late Nikolai and Anna Sandaluk Mindziak. Walt was a Jehovah's Witness and was self-employed for many years as an antique furniture refinisher.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jeannie Mindziak of Valdosta; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Bill Canfield of Albany; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Zoey and Zeke Mindziak, and Meghan and William Canfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Bill Mindziak.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
