Wallace Kerry Oliver (67), of Valdosta, GA suffered a heart attack and passed away on July 6th, 2024. Kerry, fondly known as “K.O.”, was born to William (Bill) and Jeanette Oliver on October 8, 1956, in Macon, GA.
Kerry graduated from Valdosta High School and was a true Wild Cat through and through. As owner of his own business, Oliver Plumbing and Repair, for over 25 years, he met many wonderful people and forged lifelong friendships.
It was known on any given day, you could find Kerry on the water, in the woods, or spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Pierre, aka, “the French birddog”.
From the “Hunting Club” in Naylor, to Yates Creek near Keaton Beach, FL, Kerry found a way to revel in nature’s wonders. He was a highly accomplished hunter and fisherman.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks,” and “The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.” -John Muir. Kerry lived by this creed.
His loving spirit will be carried on by his greatest source of pride and happiness, his family. Tim (brother) and spouse Rita Oliver, Bob (brother) and spouse Debbie Oliver. His children William Oliver (son) and spouse Kelly Wegel, Tori Wade (son), and Sommer Oliver Anders (daughter) and spouse Jennifer Anders, and Tori and Sommers mother, Tamma Oliver Kelley. He found immense joy in his role as Pepaw and great Pepaw to his grandchildren Katelyn (grandaughter) and spouse Matt Lewis, and Loden Wade (grandson), and his great grandchildren Hudson and Olivia Lewis. And many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He shared his love for fishing, storytelling, and adventure with them, creating cherished memories that will forever live on in their hearts.
