Dr. W. Harold McLeod , 87, of Valdosta, Georgia transitioned to his heavenly home January 18, 2026. Until his retirement in 2008 he was a minister in the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee for over 50 years. Throughout his ministry he pastored in Mississippi and Georgia before planting churches in Terrace, British Columbia, Craig, Colorado and Adelaide, South Australia. At the time of his retirement in 2008 he served as Field Director of the Asia Pacific region, the largest field area in the Church of God. His commitment to the Great Commission took him around the world, preaching, teaching and mentoring everywhere he went.

He was a devoted husband to his wife of sixty-six years, Marie (Tina) and father of; Dee (Bob) Raff, Ooltewah, TN; Scott (Caroline) McLeod, Adelaide, South Australia; Scarlett (Graeme) Treloar, Lake Park, GA; Timothy (Kylie) McLeod, Adelaide, South Australia; twelve grandchildren; Brian, Michael, Matthew, Kylie, Emily, Joshua, Jonathan, Taylor, Kaylah, Jessica, Tara, and Connor; step-grandchildren Leah, Lauren and Josh, eighteen great-grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and spiritual sons and daughters all over the world. He is also survived by his sister Susan Justice.

Born in Valdosta, Georgia November 7, 1938, to Willie Mcleod and Beatrice Culpepper McLeod, Harold joined the army soon after high school where he served as a military policeman in France. On his return to the United States he met and married his wife, Tina and they began a lifetime together full of adventures. They traveled extensively and enjoyed spontaneous road trips. He loved working in his yard, but he complained about trimming Tina’s 60 plus rose bushes and picking up pinecones from the multiple pine trees on their property.

His servant leadership will be remembered by all who knew him, and his ministry will continue through those he invested in.

Well done good and faithful servant. Your family is very proud of you, and your Father and those who went before you were glad to welcome you home

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Enoch Creek Church and burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. The family will visit prior to the service from 1-2pm at the church.
