Virginia Harris

Virginia Ann Flippo Harris, 80, of Hahira, died on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Holly Hill Nursing Home. She was born on October 7, 1945, in Tifton to the late Grady and Alma Franks Flippo and has been a resident of the local area her entire life. She was a retired seamstress with Wilkerson and a member of Hahira First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved going to yard sales, gospel sings, and shopping with her sister and looked forward to their trips together. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark Harris and Jonathan Harris both of Hahira; her grandsons, Patrick Harris and his wife Morgan of Ellaville, Georgia, and Mark Jason Harris, Jr. of Hahira; her great-granddaughter, Clara Blake Harris of Ellaville; her sister, Shirley Bennett of Quitman and several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Services for Virginia Harris will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home of Hahira with Pastor Jacque Asbel officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home.
