Vincent D. Puleo, 92, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 17, 1931, to the late Sam and Molly Dabblestein Puleo. He grew up in Cleveland, OH and when he was 12, his family moved to Miami, FL. After high school graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 22 years retiring as a TSGT. After he left the Air Force, he flew planes for Riverside Manufacturing. He started as an Airplane inspector and maintenance at the hangers in Miami, retiring in the late 1990’s. Vincent began traveling the United States in a camper. He met Margaret Ousley Smith in the early 2000’s and they were married on January 11, 2002, and they continued to travel in RV’s for the next 20 years.
Vincent is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Puleo, of Valdosta; daughter, Debbie Buck, of Brandon, FL, daughter Venetia Carey (Ken), of Fleming Island, FL; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; his stepson Stan Smith, of Woodbine, GA; stepdaughter Barbara O’Neal, of Valdosta, GA; and stepdaughter Phyllis Kascam, of Valdosta, GA.
A private memorial service will be held Dasher Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
