Vesta Tillman

Vesta Tillman, 91, of Hahira, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1915 in Brooks County to the late J. K. and Maude Martin Cooper. Mrs. Tillman was a homemaker and a member of Hahira First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Her husband was the late, Gordon I. Tillman.

She is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Lee Tillman of Brooks County, John and Beth Tillman of Hahira and Michael and Nancy Tillman of Brooks County, seven grandchildren, Donna Merwin and her husband, Randy, Jim Tillman, Julie Sandlin and her husband, Bryan, Shay Eidson, Alison Tillman, Clay Tillman and Brett Tillman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 10:30 a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
