Tracy Elizabeth Ricks, age 59, passed away on March 25, 2026. Born on February 25, 1967, in Valdosta, Georgia, she was a lifelong resident of the community she loved.
Before beginning her career as a talented tattoo artist, Tracy spent years working as a corrections officer, where she showed strength, dedication, and resilience. She later became known for her creativity and the meaningful connections she built with others through her art. She had an outgoing personality and a warm, welcoming spirit that made people feel at ease. Through her work and her presence, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Above all, Tracy loved her family deeply. She cherished her children and grandchildren and found great joy in being a mother and grandmother. Her love for them was constant and unwavering. She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Ricks Jr. and Pamela Mooney Ricks. Tracy is survived by her loving children, Corey Ricks and Kayla Ricks; her brother, Jay Ricks; her sister, Amanda Michelle Voigt; and several beloved grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. The family will honor Tracy’s life privately. Tracy’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the art and love she shared throughout her life.
