Brown
November 24, 1970 – June 7, 2026
After a lengthy battle with cancer, Tracee Lyn Hunter Brown, 55, of Hahira, Georgia went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2026. Tracee passed peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and three treasured children. She was born on November 24, 1970 in Homerville, GA. Tracee, a graduate of Clinch County High School furthered her education by obtaining a degree of Applied Science in Nursing from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She continued on to become a licensed Registered Nurse with the state of Georgia. As a skilled nurse, Tracee worked for several years at South Georgia Medical Center and First America Drugs before retiring due to her health.
For Tracee, a perfect day meant sand between her toes, salt in the air, and loved ones by her side. May we think of her whenever we hear the waves brush against the shore.
Survivors are her husband of 31 years, Justin Brown of Hahira; her children, Ethan (& Alden) Brown of Hahira, Olivia Brown of Hahira, Maddox Brown of Hahira; granddaughter, Brooklyn Kate Brown of Hahira; aunt and uncle, Jerry and Daphne Altman of Fargo; brothers-in-law, Chris (& Christy) Brown of Valdosta, Ashley (& Norma) Brown of Olive Grove, Mississippi, Kevin Brown of Hahira; sisters-in-law, Mickie (& Derald) Jones of Hahira, Susan (& Jeff) Harper of Valdosta; mother-in-law, Susan Brown of Hahira; numerous nieces and nephews. Tracee is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Hunter, of Homerville, Georgia; grandfather, Ruben Altman of Fargo, Georgia; brother, Paul Timothy Henderson III of Waycross, Georgia; father-in-law, Herman Brown of Hahira.
Private services for Tracee were held on June 11, 2026 at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. Please make donations to Breast Cancer support at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).Condolences may be conveyed to the family on the obituary page of www.mclanecares.com. Martin/McLane Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Brown family.
