Theresa Lahood Joseph

Theresa LaHood Joseph, 87, of Valdosta, peacefully passed away the morning of April 5, 2023. Theresa was born in Valdosta to the late Tofy John “T.J.” LaHood and Sarah Toney LaHood and lived most of her life in this area. Theresa lived for twenty years in Jacksonville Beach, FL following her husband’s death, before returning to Valdosta in 2021. Theresa graduated from St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and Valdosta High School, and she obtained a degree from Valdosta State University (then College.) Theresa’s devoted husband, Richard Joseph, preceded her in death.

Theresa is survived by her children, Richard John Joseph (& Debra), Gregory LaHood Joseph (& Diane) and Sarah Theresa Daniels (& Chris.) Theresa’s grandchildren are Christopher Joseph Daniels (& Dana), Justin LaHood Daniels (& Kathryn) and Richard Alexander Daniels (& Meaghan,) John Gregory Joseph, Michael David Joseph, John Langley Joseph and Catherine Theresa Joseph. Theresa is also survived by her brothers, Norman John LaHood, Valdosta and Michael John LaHood of Jacksonville, FL; and nieces and nephews, Bobby Joseph (& Terri), Janice Worn, Paul Joseph (& Judith), William Joseph (& Janice), Linda Rowe (& Bill), Carlo H. Joseph, III (& Diane), Sam (& Dan Arrighi) Joseph, Phyllis Joseph Ripple (& Jim), Lila Joseph Norris (& Philip), Leo C. Joseph (& Barbara), Michael John LaHood and Sarah Frances LaHood, Thomas John LaHood (TJ); and many cousins and other relatives. The Joseph family is deeply grateful for the loving care Theresa received from her caregivers during the last twelve plus months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Monsignor Fred Nijem will preside. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. A rosary will be held at Carson McLane Funeral Home at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The visitation will follow (from 6 pm) until 7:30 pm.
