Sue Elaine Parkerson Bellflower, 74, of Naylor, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. She was born in Valdosta on September 17, 1952, to the late Wynelle Guest Parkerson and Austin Horace Parkerson, Jr.
Mrs. Bellflower grew up the middle child of four children and lived in Valdosta along Bemiss Road. Mr. Twist at five points was the family business. She met her husband, Jerry, one night while out with friends. She loved to spend Friday nights cruising Ashley Street. She loved her family and especially enjoyed family meals and get-togethers. She also loved camping and bonfires and loved to go to Suwanee campground for music festivals. She had a master’s degree in education and loved her job as a first-grade teacher at Pine Grove Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Bellflower Johnson and son, Jeremy Alan Bellflower, both of Naylor, GA; grandchildren, Elena Johnson, Logan Bellflower, Braxton Cumbess, Bailey Green, and Brooklyn Conway; brother, Thomas Parkerson, and sister, Shirley Sainz, both of Valdosta; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents Wynelle and Austin Parkerson, Jr.; husband, Jerry Bellflower; and sister, Virginia Wooten.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will visit before the service from 3-4pm. Online condolences may be shared on the obituary page at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home
