STEVEN M. SALI, 75, of Lake Park, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Darien, CT, a son of the late John and Julia Rema Sali. Mr. Sali was a retired independent truck driver and a resident of Echols County for twenty-seven years. He greatly enjoyed woodworking in his workshop.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty years, Fay Sali; one son, James Sali of CO; four daughters, Julie Woolhouse and husband Michael of Keene, NH, Stephanie Whitley of Alapaha, Dimple Sali-Carter and husband Jim of Lake Park, and Danielle Hendrix and husband Brad of Lake Park; seven grandsons, Steven, Bryan, Cory and Coty Tompkins, Jake Thomas Whitley III, J.C. Carter and Austen Crews; one granddaughter, Braden Hendrix; one great-granddaughter, Haley Tompkins; a special nephew, Steve Sali of Middleburg, FL; and a special friend, John V. Condee of Iverness, FL. He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Antioch Church with Rev. Mickey Corbett and Rev. Chris McCain officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Chapel Cemetery.
