Steryl Creasy, 85, of Lake Park, died on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born on March 30, 1940, in Craigsville, West Virginia to the late Steryl Randall and Vera Deskins Creasy. Mr. Creasy was a veteran of the United States Navy having served prior to the Vietnam War. He later earned his master’s degree from Harvard and went to work in sales and engineering at IBM and retired from there. He was a former director of the Lions Club in California and loved to repair Roomba vacuum cleaners and any kind of watch. He also liked to repair and design jewelry and was an avid golfer before declining health forced him to no longer be able to participate. Steryl and his sister, Barbara, loved to jitterbug in their youth. Mr. Creasy attended Wright's Chapel Church.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Creasy of Lake Park; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kelly Creasy of Palm Bay, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Andy Rieger of Vacaville, California; his granddaughter, Caitlyn Creasy of Tampa, Florida; three brothers and five sisters-in-law: Larry and Lori Creasy of St. Augustine, Florida, Marlin and Mary Ann Creasy of Muncie, Indiana, Joseph Creasy of San Antonio, Texas, Val Creasy of Wilmington, North Carolina, Toni Creasy of Portage, Indiana, Penny Creasy of Boise, Idaho and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bruce Creasy, James Creasy, Barbara Creasy Nichols, Toni Creasy Reyes, Patty Creasy, Wanda Creasy Crabtree, William Creasy, and Margaret Creasy Ciardella.

A memorial service for Steryl Creasy will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick Herring officiating. The family will receive one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
