Shirley Wilson

Shirley Wilson, 73, of Lake Park, died on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Shirley was born on October 12, 1950, in Valdosta to the late Angus and Louise Clayton Corbett and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was employed with Wal-Mart as a cashier and was of the Christian faith. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing solitaire, and enjoying trips to the beach.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Mary Shear of Nashville, and Shauna Wilson of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Jerica Shear, John Smith, and Cole McGee; her great-grandchildren, Kaige Mullins, Clark Mullins and Emmett Mullins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Barbara Corbett, Ellis and Vivian Corbett, Joe and Ellen Corbett, and Jerry Corbett; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joyce and Eric Jackson, and Nancy Kelley; grandpups, Sassy, Cookie and Harrington Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. She was preceded by her son-in-law, Timmy Shear

Services for Shirley Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery.
