Sheree Blanchard, 48, of Valdosta, died on Monday, February 2006 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born on March 3, 1957 in Valdosta where she lived all of her life. She was employed with Doctor’s Laboratory and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Lake Park. She was a Sunday School teacher for the 3 and 4 year old age group for many years and a senior choir member. Sheree had dedicated her life to serving God.
Survivors are her husband, Bobby Blanchard of Valdosta; sons, Anthony Pilkinton, Alan Pilkinton and Eric Pilkinton and Fiancé, Jessica Eunice all of Valdosta; daughters and son-in-law, Kristi Blanchard of Valdosta, Darlene and Deran Hardeman of Nashville; grandchildren, Cadence Pilkinton, Kaylin Blanchard both of Valdosta, Darcy Hardeman of Nashville; her mother, Ann Wilson of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Billy Danforth, Suzanne and Thomas Coker both of Valdosta, Kim and Bobby Walther of Lake Park; a brother, Scotty Wilson of Lake Park and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Obin Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Park with Pastor Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Blanchard will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Missions Outreach, P.O. Box 531, Lake Park, GA 31636.
