Shelba Jean Harrington

Shelba Jean Moody Harrington passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Fellowship Home in Valdosta, GA, after an extended illness.

Born on September 13, 1931, in Appling County, Georgia, she was raised by Lawton and Lona Moody of Brentwood, GA. She graduated from Andrew College in Cutbert, GA, and Valdosta State College in Valdosta, GA, with a BA Degree in Education. She was employed by the Clinch County Board of Education as an elementary school teacher in Fargo, GA. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Fargo.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean Harrington, and husband, Wallace V. Harrington, Jr. She is survived by one son, Wallace L. Harrington of Pooler, GA.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Pine Forest Cemetery in Homerville, GA. Condolences to the family maybe conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com
