Sara Pack Rowntree, 50, of Ray City, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1975, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington, to William Edward Pack and Ellen Kathryn Stich Pack. Sara spent part of her childhood living in Germany for seven years before returning to Georgia with her family. She graduated from Lowndes High School in 1993.

Following high school, Sara worked as an administrative assistant at several businesses and medical offices, including Holiday Markets, Smith Northview Hospital, the offices of Dr. Dennis Thomas, and later South Georgia Medical Center with Dr. Courson and Dr. Nash.

Sara was an avid reader who enjoyed a variety of crafting activities, including painting, pottery, and cross-stitch. She was a devoted animal lover and faithfully cared for her parents and many others throughout her life. Sara loved the Lord and was a member of St. Augustine Church of Christ. She never forgot a birthday and especially enjoyed the family tradition of holiday Cookie Day.

Sara is survived by her husband, Jon Rowntree of Ray City; her parents, Ellen and William Pack of Valdosta; her brother, Mark William Pack of Palm Bay, Florida; as well as numerous Pack and Rowntree family members, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
