Samuel Kenneth Spells, Jr. of Valdosta, GA, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born on July 17, 1948 in Berrien County, GA to the late Samuel K., Sr. & Sallie Cortelia Ray Spells. He was a very active member of Christ the King Episcopal Church. He volunteered with The Red Cross and was “Volunteer of the Year 2021”. He enjoyed cooking and loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Spells of Valdosta; his daughter & son-in-law, Jaclyn & Jason Spells Carter of Ray City; his sons & daughter-in-law, Eric & Felisha Spells of Fitzgerald, Darwin Trapp of Russellville, AL, Nathan Trapp of Valdosta, and Chris Trapp of Valdosta; his eight grandchildren; his sister, Linda Taylor of Innerlookins, FL; his brother, Ronald & Wynell Spells of Mayday; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Machell Lasseter of Valdosta, and Alexandra Emmrich of Germany; his daughter-in-law, Renae Trapp; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Taylor.
