Samuel Henderson Dutton, 79, of Valdosta, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Valdosta on December 16, 1944, he had worked as a school teacher for Echols County Schools. As a veteran of the U.S. Army, he had served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. John Catholic Church.

Mr. Dutton is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Miley (Michael) of Hahira, a sister Martha Brown, of Washington, two grandchildren, Chase Miley (Kenzie), of Valdosta, and Landon Miley (Samantha) of Hahira, and a great grandchild Killian. He was preceded in death by his parents Adelbert Dutton and Josephine Allen Dutton, and two brothers, James (Jim) Dutton and Jack Dutton.
