Ruth S. Roberson

Ruth S. Roberson, 77 of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on April 25 1928, she was the daughter of the late James and Sadie Arnold Stephens. Mrs. Roberson was the former Postmistress at the Lake Park Post Office. She was a member of the American Legion, the American Cancer Society and West End Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband Edgar O. Roberson of Valdosta, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Devonne Taylor of Statenville, daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Robby Exum of Valdosta; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and Justin Taylor both of Statenville, Kayla Exum, Jacolyn Exum and Cole Exum all of Valdosta, brother, James Stephens of Madison, FL, sister, Juanita Brantley of Perry, FL and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. John Akers officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
