Roy Evans, 52, of Valdosta, died on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Holly Hill Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Manning, South Carolina on April 9, 1959 to Paul and Dilia McKenzie Evans and has been a resident of this area since 1976.
Survivors include his mother, Dilia Evans of Valdosta; a sister and brother-in-law, Dale and Jim Brown of Crescent City, Florida; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wayne Evans of Valdosta and Ray and Donna Evans of Cartersville; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Evans and two sisters, Margaret Elkins and Paulette Carter.
A graveside service for Roy Evans will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane.
