Rosie Mae Vickers, 70, of Valdosta, died on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Lakehaven Nursing Home following several years of declining health. She was born on January 26, 1953, in Moultrie to the late Grady and Emily Howard Jacobs. Mrs. Vickers had worked as a waitress for many years for various local establishments over the years with Howie’s in Bushnell, Florida being the last place she served. She loved being involved with all family activities, especially anything involving her grandchildren. Mrs. Vickers was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Vickers is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Marie Kinchens of Valdosta, and Jessie and Cammella Kinchens of Clearmont, Florida; her daughter, Kim Kinchens of Webster, Florida; her grandchildren Nick Kinchens, Justin and Delaney Howell, Kylee Kinchens, Harley Kinchens, Rocky Kinchens, Jr., Garrett Kinchens, Cody Kinchens, Austin Vowell, and Dustin Kinchens; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Howell and Walker Howell; a sister, Darlene Walker. She was preceded by her husband, Gary Vickers.

A memorial service for Rosie Mae Kinchens will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
