Rose Jeanette Tillman Huss

Rose Jeanette Tillman Huss, 70, of Valdosta died Friday, May 22, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Colquitt County on October 19, 1938 to the late Daniel and Rosa Pilcher Tillman who were residents of Cook County. Mrs. Huss was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was active in the Valdosta High School Band Boosters. She loved to travel, shop, genealogy and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Christina Huss of Valdosta, two sisters and brothers in law, Juanita and Leroy Montgomery of Adel, Geneva and George Gerber of Morganton, GA., numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law, Kay and Ron Bernhardt of Manitowoc, WI., Christine and Ken Wergin of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Huss and a sister, Mary Lou Tillman.

Funeral mass will be held at 11am, Monday, May 25, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Dan O’Connell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. A rosary will be held at 6pm, Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Carson McLane Funeral Home with visitation following until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
