Rosalyn Redding Gladwin, 83, of Hahira, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at The Orchard at Tillman Crossing.

She was born on November 15, 1942, in West Palm Beach, FL, to the late Clifford McNiel Redding and Rosa Goodwin Redding. Rosalyn grew up in West Palm Beach and graduated from West Palm Beach High School. She spent her summers attending the Methodist Camp in Leesburg, FL.

Rosalyn attended Palm Beach Junior College, where she began dating Ransom “Skip” Gladwin. Following junior college, she attended Florida State University, where she earned her teaching degree. After college, they returned to Jupiter, where Rosalyn began her career as a teacher and Skip worked at Pratt & Whitney. Rosalyn dedicated 33 years to teaching, primarily at Jerry Thomas Elementary School.

Throughout her life, Rosalyn was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Jupiter. She had a deep love of genealogy and enjoyed spending time working in her yard and garden. She also served as a docent for the West Palm Beach Historical Society, sharing her appreciation for history with others.

Rosalyn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Celine Gladwin of Valdosta, and Ryan and Natalia Gladwin of West Palm Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Randa Gladwin and Jebran Gladwin, both of Valdosta, and Eva Gladwin and Lucas Gladwin, both of West Palm Beach, FL; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Kyle Sawyer of McKinney, TX; brother-in-law Ted Spies of Juno Beach, FL; sister-in-law Brenda Gladwin of Tequesta, FL; nephew Chris Chocolaad; and several other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Ransom F. “Skip” Gladwin, III.

A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at First United Methodist Church of Jupiter/Tequesta. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Rosalyn will be laid to rest beside her husband at Riverside Memorial Park in Jupiter, FL.
