Robert E. Fussell, 52 of Valdosta died on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. Born on October 25, 1952 in Homerville, he is the son of Clora Prescott Fussell and the late George Fussell, Sr. Mr. Fussell was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed construction worker and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Albertina Guerrero de Fussell of Valdosta; daughters, Krystal Fussell of Warner Robins, Kelly Fussell of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Ashlee Gable and Joshua Fussell of Warner Robins; brothers and sisters-in-law, George, Jr. and Bobbie Fussell, Markey Fussell, Gerald “DeDe” and Gail Fussell all of Valdosta; sister, Patricia “Pat” and Clay Jones of Valdosta; a special aunt, Myrtie Cummings of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Carlton Allen and Reverend Ronny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
