Robert Charles Anderson, 58, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Smithtown, NY on December 29, 1967 to Lawrence Anderson and Patricia Grifferty Anderson. He was a self-employed landscaper who also operated a tree service. He was an avid sports fan and could always be found watching his teams, NY Mets, Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and he enjoyed a good round of golf. He loved the written word and had majored in English in college.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 26 years, Olga “Patty” Anderson, of Valdosta, his daughters Bianca Anderson and Olivia Anderson, also of Valdosta, his brother Lawrence Anderson, Jr., sister Jean Anderson Lapper, brother Michael Anderson, sister Mary Anderson, sister Elizabeth Anderson Singh, and numerous nieces and nephews, all from the New York Area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard Anderson, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Margaret Anderson, and maternal grandparents Michael and Elizabeth Grifferty

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The family will visit prior to the service from 10-11am. Online condolences and memories may be shared on the obituary page at www.mclanecares.com.
