Richard L. Witmer, 94, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2026.

Born on October 16, 1931, in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, Richard was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and later attended Stevens Trade School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Richard will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the quiet strength and kindness he showed throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Witmer; daughter, Robin Walsh, Valdosta, GA; son, Kevin Walsh, Mahoney City, PA; son, Scott Witmer (wife Karla), Hanover, PA; daughter, Lisa Witmer, Harrisburg, PA; as well as three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
