Richard "Choo Choo" Williams, 85, of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born in Lilburn, Georgia, on January 9, 1941, to the late Giles Kelley Williams and Lois Jones Williams. Mr. Williams worked as a meter reader for Georgia Power and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Williams is survived by his stepdaughter, Diane Roberts of Rome; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Brenda Redshaw of Lake Park, Joey and Faith Redshaw of Dixie, and Danny and Lisa Redshaw of Valdosta; his sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Jerry Ridings of Canton, Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his nieces and their spouses, Sandra and Scott Threlkeld of Dawsonville, Georgia, and Jill and Ray Tadros of Alpharetta, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Williams; his daughters, Kelly Gail and Courtney Robin; and his stepdaughter-in-law, Angela Redshaw.
