Richard Allen Ecker

Richard Allen Ecker, 54 of Valdosta, died on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Holly Hill Nursing Home after a short illness. Born on January 21, 1952 in Paxton, IL, he was the son of Leona Ecker and the late Edwin Ecker of Buckley, IL. He was a truck driver for Kraft and was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors are his wife, Julie Ecker of Valdosta, daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Shawn Marshall of Perry; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Amanda Ecker, Andrew and Lori Ecker all of Valdosta; the seven joys of his life, his grandchildren, Caitlin and Chloe Marshall, Kenny, Kaylie and Tyson, Ecker, Sheldon and Felicity Ecker; his mother, Leona Ecker of Buckley, IL; and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Carol Ecker of Loda, IL. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ecker.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Pieplow officiating. Burial will be in Buckley, IL at a later date.
