Philip Jay Phelps

Philip Jay Phelps, 30, of Valdosta and formerly of Maine, died in an automobile accident on Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Born on September 28, 1974 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, he had received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Maine. He was employed with PCA as a chemical engineer and was an Episcopalian.

Mr. Phelps is survived by his wife of 5 ½ years, Angel W. Phelps of Valdosta; his parents, Daniel and Paula Phelps of Waite, Maine, brothers and sister in law, Jeremy Phelps of Bangor, Maine, Jamie and Susie Phelps of Kingfield, Maine; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and his beloved cats.

Memorial services are pending and will be held in Calais, Maine, Scott-Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lowndes County Humane Society.
