Peggy Ann Koenighaus, aged 83, of Hahira, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Born on November 15, 1942, in Naylor, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Ray DeVane and Marion Durrence DeVane. Peggy completed her high school education in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she spent her youth visiting Dasher, Georgia during the summers. Demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit, she opened a consignment shop and was an active member of the Sylva Church of Christ. In 2001, Peggy and Bill moved to Hahira, where they became members of the Dasher Church of Christ.

Peggy is survived by her husband Bill; their children Michael Troy Koenighaus of Hahira, Wilhelm Koenighaus of Asheville, North Carolina, Norman Shepard Koenighaus of Fayetteville, and Letha Ree Koenighaus of Villa Rica, Georgia; as well as her grandchildren Michael Koenighaus and Wesley Koenighaus of Waynesville, North Carolina, Diana Ashley Muralles of Griffin, Georgia, Matthew Ray Koenighaus of Fayetteville, and Zachary Koenighaus of Villa Rica; as well as : five great-grandchildren.
