Paul H. Reaves, Jr.

Paul H. Reaves, Jr. 79, of Hahira, died on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. Born in Valdosta to the late Paul H. Sr. & Mary Huggins Reaves, he had been a lifelong resident of this area. He attended school in Hahira and graduated from Hahira High School in 1963. Paul was drafted by Uncle Sam and was stationed on Long Binh Army Air Base in Vietnam. Following his service in Vietnam, he returned to Lowndes County and joined his Dad in P & J Plumbing in Hahira, which he operated until his retirement in 2013. Paul was a member of Hahira Community Church.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Brenda Stubbs Reaves of Hahira; two sons and daughters in law, Keith H. & Jennifer Reaves and Reuben J. & Lori Reaves, all of Hahira; six grandchildren, Sarah Grace Reaves, James Paul Reaves, Marlaina Frances Reaves, Jackson Harding Reaves, Emma Gregory and Emelia Gregory; and one great grandson, Perry James Gregory.

The graveside service for Mr. Reaves will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Friendship Cemetery. Elder Thad Marshall and Pastor Mike Davis will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed to the family on the obituary page of www.mclanecares.com. Martin/McLane Funeral Home.
