Patricia Parham, 86, lovingly known as “Mimi”, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Hahira, March 4, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Julian Coppage and Alma Futch Coppage. Formerly of Cocoa, Florida, she had worked for the City of Cocoa Police Department for over 25 years as secretary for the chief of police. While making her home in Hahira, Patricia loved babysitting children, becoming “Mimi” to all she kept. She was an excellent cook and baker. A devoted mother to her two daughters, Patricia was passionate about her strong faith in the Lord.
Widow of the late Richard Colan Parham, Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Lynn Parham Brown of Hahira and her dog Luna; Sonya Lee Parham Shannon of Hahira and her children Tyler and Leeanna, and her dog Paris Lee; adopted granddaughter Hannalee Coppage; adopted family, Tondra Larson and her husband Keith and their children, Ryan, Drey and Caden of Hahira; sister, Pansy Spearman of Mobile, Alabama, brother, Mike Coppage (Sherri) of Merritt Island, Florida; niece, Kaye Parham, nephew, Jeff Parham (Tammy) and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parham will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Mr. Matt Lingerfelt will officiate. A burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
