Patrice Shannon McNamara Simpson, 91, of Hahira, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Fellowship Home in Valdosta. She was born on August 13, 1932, to Patrick and Henrietta Werdene McNamara in Minot, North Dakota. She is survived by her son, Michael B. Pope Sr. of Hahira; son-in-law, Rick Stone of Leesburg, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Gracie Stone of Leesburg; grandson, Brooks Pope and his wife Cortney and their son Tripp all of Thomasville; Alden Pope Dellinger and her family all of Perry, Georgia. She was preceded by her daughter, Patricia Pope Stone; her grandson, Christopher T. Stone; husbands, Sergeant James Robert Pope USAF Ret., and Henry Briggs Simpson.

Patrice retired from South Health District as Payroll accountant. She was an active member in her church that she loved, Messiah Lutheran Church, where she served in many capacities and roles. She graduated from Velva High School and Minot Business College both in North Dakota. Pat, as she was lovingly called, was loved by all who knew her. She finished the race and without a doubt, was greeted by the Lord with “Well Done Good and Faithful Servant”.
