Oveda Drucilla Johnson

Oveda Drucilla Johnson, 93, of Statenville, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Suwanee Valley Nursing Home in Jasper, FL. She was born on May 2, 1915 in Statenville to the late Emory and Ludie Pearl Smith Covington. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker, an active member of Statenville United Methodist Church and an active member of the Statenville Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one daughter, Melba Tomlinson of Columbus, MS, three granddaughters, Amy Robertson of Columbus, MS, Lisa Lowery of Reform, AL, Dawn Conn of Columbus, MS, one grandson, Marc Tomlinson of Columbus, MS, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merton Johnson, one grandson, Scott Brooks, one brother, W. H. Covington and one sister, Anita Covington.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at two p. m. at the graveside in Wright's Chapel Cemetery in Echols County with Mr. Jerry Carter officiating. Burial will follow.
