Oscar L. Wester

Oscar L. Wester, 81, of Valdosta died on Sunday, November 26, 2006, at South Georgia Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born on January 30, 1925, he was the son of the late Osias and Clara Wetherington . Mr. Wester was employed with Southern Railroad and had served in the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Linda Tillman of Valdosta; several cousins and a special friend, Earline Webb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
