Ophelia Raines Bailey

Ophelia Raines Bailey, 92, of Hahira died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1920 in Blythewood, South Carolina to the late Henry William and Liddie Leona Williams Raines. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and of the Nazarene faith.

On July 11, 2006 she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Chester Leroy (Jack) Bailey. Mrs. Bailey is also preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Sue Franks, her grandson, Trampus Bailey, two sons in law, Charles Cook and J. E. Franks, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by four sons and two daughters in law, Charles Bailey of Lizella, GA, Danny and Rita Bailey and John Bailey of Hahira, Rickey and Brenda Bailey of Adel, three daughters and one son in law, Jeanette Cook, Judy Bailey, Gail and Patrick Nichols, all of Hahira, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Leonard Harnage officiating. Burial will follow at Wilkes Community Cemetery in Cook County. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
