Olly Wivian Harris, 92, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Garden City, GA. He was born in Lake Park, GA, on September 15, 1929 to the late Asa Burton Harris and Lula Corbett Harris. Wivian was a jack of all trades and owned his own appliance repair business. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a deacon at Central Avenue Church of Christ.
Wivian is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Vondean and Wayne Williams, of Garden City, Denise and John Hunt, of Naylor, and Kim and Skip Beavers, of Easley, SC; his grandchildren, Brandie and Marc Dame, Brooke and Kevin Harp, Joshua Beavers, and Camille and Addison Hamrick; great grandchildren, Bayleigh Dame, and Brooklyn Starr; his sister, Shirley Deriso, of Monroe, GA; and sister-in-law Wynell Greene Rogers, of Smyrna, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rudene Greene Harris.
Due to the current pandemic, a private family graveside service was held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
