Nell L. Goode

Nell L. Goode, 81, of Valdosta, loving and devoted mother went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 8, 2010. She was born on April 11, 1928 in Screven Georgia to the late Henke and Nolie Davis. Mrs. Goode was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her two loving sons, C. Rick (Dyna) Hastings of Valdosta and Brian (Christine) Hastings of Woodbury Heights, N.J., two brothers, Emory Davis of Jesup, GA and Grady Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., eight grandchildren, Tallie (Tye) Pipkin of St. Simons, GA., Jennifer (H.R.) Price of Quitman, Anna (Kris) Griffis of Barwick, GA., Elizabeth, Brian Jr., Christine, Theresa Hastings all of New Jersey and Adam Simpson of Valdosta, seven great grandchildren, a special friend, Frances Hanson of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chuck Hastings and Randy Goode, a sister, Betty Gordon of Jacksonville, Fla. and four brothers, Brad Davis, Joe Davis and Rochell Davis all of Jesup, GA and Barnie Davis of Valdosta.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Carson McLane Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home in Jesup with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 10am until service time.
