Nancy Lemasters, 91, of Lake Park, died on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home. Born in Indiana on April 11, 1935, to the late Earl Eugene & Agnes Applegate Taylor, she grew up in Southport, IN and graduated from Southport High School. While in high school, Nancy started dating Jack Lemasters and they were married on June 27, 1953., and were married for 66 years, prior to his death in 2019. The couple lived in Indianapolis for several years before moving to Lake Park in 1968. In Lake Park, the Lemasters soon joined First Baptist Church of Lake Park where Nancy was very active. For many years she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served as Bible School Director and in later years participated in the Silver Doves. She was also active in the Lake Park community, working at the Lake Park Library and as a Para Pro at Lake Park Elementary School. Nancy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family- her husband, her girls, the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a sports fan, following Indiana Basketball & Football, Atlanta Braves Baseball and bowling with her husband.
Survivors include her five daughters and three sons in law, Debbie & Ron Guess of Brooks County, Laura & Joe Cumbee of Fitzgerald, Susan Foster of Lake Park, Julie & Del Allen of Lake Park, and Nancy Fraser of Middleburg, FL. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Greg (& Brandy) Barnes of Brooks County, Jerry “Jake” (& Jessica) Foster of Valdosta, Justin Foster of Lake Park, Jennifer (& Josh) Williams of Lake Park, Eric Cumbee of Fitzgerald, Clay Cumbee of Atlanta and Lee Cumbee, of Fitzgerald, Garrett (& Cari) Allen of Valdosta, Kelsie (& Adam) Drumgool of Lake Park, Scott(& Tiffany) Fraser of Keystone Heights, FL, and Jackson (& Kailee) Fraser, of Lawtey, FL; a sister and brother in law, Ellen & Preston Hodges of Loganville, GA; twelve great grandchildren, Drew Barnes, Brody Barnes, Elizabeth Foster, Charlotte Foster, Whitley Williams, Wheylin Williams, Bryce Allen, Wyatt Allen, Carlie Beth Allen, Jack Drumgool, Joan Marie Fraser and Levi Fraser; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lemasters will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Lake Park. Rev. Robert Dawson will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5 pm until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake Park.
