Monya Mignon Merwin Webb, 86, passed away on 4 June 2026 in Tifton following several health challenges. She was a native of Valdosta and grew up in Hahira.

Monya Webb was a registered nurse, business owner, and all-around people person.

She graduated from Hahira High School in 1957 and from the Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She attended St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton.

Her survivors include her son Wesley Webb (Barbara); daughter Laura Leigh Bedeir (Saad); brother Charlie Merwin (Brenda); brother Phil Merwin (Barbara); and sister-in-law Nadine Merwin. Six grandchildren: Aaron (Jamie); Caitlin; Eli; Chloe (Eden); Eric; and Seth (Sarah). Three great-grandchildren, as well as seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father E. Cornell ‘Jack’ Merwin, her mother Mignon Louise Murray, her brother Jackie, and her son Michael.

Her family invites friends to visit and celebrate her life on Saturday, 20 June 2026, beginning 2 pm, at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. (401 South Church St.) A memorial service officiated by Nathan Wilson of St. Anne’s will follow visitation.
