Michael R. Good, a resident of Valdosta, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024, at his home. He was born on May 31, 1943, in Flint, MI, to the late Bob Good and Bonita Jean Danielson Good. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a civil engineer for SSOE. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valdosta.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Good, of Valdosta; stepchildren Ronald Gustafson, residing in California, and Kristen White, residing in Michigan. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Jordan White, Callister White, Jade White, Emilee Gustafson, and Jason Cobb. Additionally, he leaves behind his great grandchildren, Emmalin White, Declan White, Parker White, and Snow White, all residing in Michigan. Michael is also survived by his sister, Denise Fender (Steve) of Quitman, GA, his brother, Paul Brissette (Cindy), of Michigan, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Patricia Hill, of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Good will be held on January 22, 2024, at 2pm in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Dennis Massie and Dr. Chuck Owens will officiate the service. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1-2pm. Those who wish to share condolences may do so online at Carson McLane Funeral Home is honored to assist the family during this time.
