Melissa Evans

Melissa M. Evans, 51, of Valdosta, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born August 30, 1963 in Apalachicola, FL, a daughter of the late Frederick Bernard and Eleanor Hope Mayson. Melissa was a member of Redland Church of Christ. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Evans of Valdosta; one son and daughter-in-law, Mayson and Hannah Page; one granddaughter, Aria Page; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Grady Lowe and Ethel and Robert Jenkins, all of Apalachicola, FL; and several nieces.

A Memorial Service for Melissa will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Redland Church of Christ, 4257 Rocky Ford Road, Valdosta, GA 31601. Mr. Bill Ward will officiate.
