Mayme Sheppard Bennett, 87, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Services are tentatively set for Saturday, August 23, 2008 in Ft. Gaines. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Bennett family's Smithbriar Drive residence.
