Mary Ellen Folsom Stalvey

Mary Ellen Folsom Stalvey, 82, of Hahira, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Adel. She was born in Brooks County, GA on March 19, 1927 to the late James Rayford and Thelma Elizabeth Hall Folsom. Mrs. Stalvey was a retired clerk from the Cook County Tax Office, was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Brenda and Tom Weldon of Hahira, three sons and two daughters in law, Dwight and Karen Stalvey of McDonough, GA, Raymond Jr. and Diane Stalvey and Wayne Stalvey of Hahira, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one sister, Thelma Morris of Forest Park, GA, one brother, James Robert Folsom and her stepmother, Veva Folsom of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mrs. Stalvey was preceded in death by her husband of fifty five years, Raymond Stalvey, Sr. on November 19, 2000 and one grandson, Jeff Stalvey on October 30, 1999.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, August 8, 2009 at eleven a. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Dennis Stalvey officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
