Mary Elizabeth Reynolds

Mary Elizabeth Reynolds, 55, of Valdosta passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 from injuries sustained in a house fire. She was born on July 9, 1967. Elizabeth was an author. She loved books and reading. Elizabeth was a 1985 graduate of Lowndes High School. She studied European history at Valdosta State University and graduated in 1990 and studied the Colonial Era at The Citadel and graduated in 2003. Elizabeth has lived in Singapore, Chiba, Japan and Charleston, SC.

Her parents were the late Julia Ruth Tucker Reynolds and James Westly “Jim” Reynolds who perished from injuries sustained as a result of the house fire. She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Ann Reynolds, nephews and niece, Cory Reynolds (Kearson), Cassie Reynolds Cothren (Matthew) and Dalton Reynolds (Haley), great nieces and nephews, Josh, Aubree, Zoie, Brilee, McKynlee, William, Daisy and Brayson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at eleven a. m. at Pleasant Way Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Watson officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
