Mary Cone Wallace, 75, of Ray City, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 27, 1935 in Ray City to the late Dewey Lesley and Velma Sowell Cone. She was a member of Ray City Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Debbie Wallace of Jacksonville, Ronald Wallace of Ray City, Rickey and Teresa Wallace of Jacksonville, Rodney Wallace of Ray City; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Effie Mae Roberts of Valdosta, and Rita Bennifield of Ray City; one brother, J.D. Cone of Ray City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Wallace, a daughter, Robin Wallace, and a son, Randy Wallace.
Services for Mrs. Wallace will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Ray City Methodist Church with Rev. Debbie Cone and Rev. Charlie Scarborough officiating. The burial will follow in the New Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
