Mary Catherine Mcabee

Mary Catherine McAbee, 63, of Charleston, South Carolina, died on Friday, June 6, 2014, at her home. Born in Valdosta on April 30, 1951, she was the daughter of Evelyn Zant McAbee and the late Louis H. McAbee. Mary Catherine graduated from James Island High School in Charleston and attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was employed as Registrar at Hollings Cancer Center at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida.
Survivors are her mother, Evelyn Zant McAbee also of Charleston and several cousins. In addition to her father, Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Robert and Tommie Zant.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Park Cemetery. Reverend Keith Sandlin will officiate. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the family. wwww.mclanecares.com.
